Matthew Bagley serves as Of Counsel at SpencerWillson. He is licensed to practice in Utah state and federal courts. With decades of experience in business and commercial litigation, he provides deep expertise to the team. Matthew holds both a J.D. and an M.B.A. from Brigham Young University. He is fluent in Mandarin and Cantonese.

After law school, Matthew moved with his family to Hong Kong. There, he worked as a legal consultant for Intel Semiconductor, handling counterfeiting and trademark infringement cases across the Asia Pacific region. In 1996, he returned to Utah and joined a Salt Lake City law firm as a commercial litigator. In 2008, he accepted the role of Associate General Counsel at SecurityNational Financial Corporation.

Matthew first worked with Sarah in 2009, when SecurityNational retained her firm for a case he managed as in-house counsel. Their successful collaboration over multiple matters led Sarah to recruit him to SpencerWillson in 2023. Today, he balances his role at the firm with his position as in-house counsel for SecurityNational.

Matthew understands the needs of SpencerWillson’s clients and brings valuable insights to each case. He is a key member of the team, committed to delivering excellent legal outcomes.
